Dr. Krista Darr

Dr. Krista Darr has practiced dentistry in Longview for 37 years. One of six dentists through four generations in her family, she graduated with a DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1984, after receiving a BS degree from Baylor and Caruth School of Dental Hygiene. After graduating, she opened her dental practice as the first female dentist in Longview.

It is important to Dr. Darr to provide quality dentistry in a professional and comfortable environment. Current technology, an emphasis on prevention, and a qualified, caring staff are essential components of her practice. She believes that building a trusting relationship with patients gives them the ability to understand their treatment options, as well as the confidence to accept treatment and move forward with therapy that will improve both their oral health and overall physical health.

In her spare time, Dr. Darr enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and cooking. She also has an interest in fly-fishing and floral design when time permits. She and her husband attend Mobberly Baptist Church. She is a board member for Heartisans Marketplace, a local non-profit that provides women with job training skills. She also serves as a volunteer for the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center. The Darrs have supported Buckner International for many years, too!  They enjoy four young grandsons:  Caleb, Collin, Harris, and Smith.

Married to her husband, Dan, they have two grown children, Lauren and Ryan. Lauren owns a wedding and event floral design company in Waco. Ryan is a partner in the dental practice. They also enjoy spending time with their 4 grandsons!  Dr. Darr is a member of the ADA, TDA, and the Land O' Pines Study Club.
